Tom Smerczynski has decades of experience in government contracting, where he served in numerous senior executive roles building high-growth operating divisions that generated billions of dollars in deal flow and corporate value. With a deep passion for developing high performance organizations that produce substantial technology and service benefits for government agencies, Tom has a proven track record for mastering the mechanics of the challenging government acquisition and procurement system to produce pipelines of qualified opportunities.

With a broad range of operating experience, from small, disadvantaged businesses to the largest technology service corporations in the world, he has mastered the art of understanding the business operating environment and then developing scalable business development systems that can adapt to the needs of complex and dynamic government organizations. Tom loves coaching and training, where he can guide high potential businesses, organizations, leaders, and staff with his raw experience, where his uncanny ability to “read the opportunity and wire the proposal to win” truly shines.

Tom currently serves as the CEO and President of the Talisman Group, which he founded in 2019 as a consulting company that helps organizations of all sizes effectively translate strategy into growth, with a focus on optimizing sales in the public sector. Previously, Tom served as the Vice President of Government National Sales for Allegis Group / Aerotek, Vice President of the Government Services Vertical for TEKSystems, Senior Director of the Infrastructure Protection Business Unit for Northrop Grumman, and Business Development Manager for Mei Technologies.
